Former England football captain Rio Ferdinand confirmed on Tuesday that he will train to become a professional boxer with the ultimate aim of challenging for a title belt. Pakistan team’s training camp kicked off at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, ahead of the Test series scheduled to be held in UAE later this month. The camp, which will continue until September 23, is intended to prepare the players for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka. A cyclist who knocked over and killed a 44-year-old woman in east London has been sentenced to 18 months in a young offenders’ institution.
